DERMAPLANING CONTRAINDICATIONS

 

• Skin cancer (facial)

• Uncontrolled diabetes

• Existing acne outbreak

• Significant amount of facial hair (not vellus hair/ peachfuzz)

• Active cold sores

• Active skin conditions on the face ie: dermatitis, eczema,   psoriasis

• Numerous raised areas on the face ie: moles, skin tags

• Skin lesions of any kind

• Facial wound present

• Extreme skin laxity and wrinkles

• Botox injections within the last week

• Injectable Filler within the last 2 weeks

• Retinol products used within the last week

• Use of Accutane within the last 6 months (skin is too    fragile)

• Allergy to nickel

• Inability to lie down.  Service requires Client to lie flat on their back for approximately 45-60 minutes
